Honestly, they all suck…it’s actually kind of depressing. As congested as Springfield, Missouri is, it’s still got the atmosphere of a small or mid-sized town, not a large city.
It’s no Chicago (the #1 foodie city in America – just my opinion) or even KC or St. Louis (premium coffee spots in both cities).
With so much population growth over the years, you would think the food, and for God’s sake, the coffee, would improve.
You’d be wrong.
Best Coffee Shop? Kingdom Coffee
The prettiest girl in the trailer park is…*drum roll* – Kingdom Coffee.
It’s good. But here’s the brutal truth.
Sometimes a cup of coffee is just that: a cup of F&*^%ing coffee.
I personally visited each major coffee shop in the city (this took months – I’m busy) to see who had the “best house brew coffee.”
I stuck to their plain jain mixture – no fancy-pants sugary foam-art stuff.
Just traditional BLACK COFFEE.
The specialty drinks can vary from spot to spot. If there’s a taste test to be had, it better be done right.
Architect Coffee
Acidic, citrus-tasting, and pungent.
